Do's & Don'ts

DO read and act on the enclosed maintenance instructions
DO remove your valance for the winter period
DO check how your awnings cover rolls on to the internal rolling tube, over the top of the roller or underneath the roller, and NEVER reverse this direction

When your awning is fully extended:
DO retract it a quarter of a turn to keep the tension on the cover, this will allow the arms to flex in the wind.
DON’T extend your awning past the arm locking point.
DON’T hang any object on the arms or front profile.
DON’T use your awning in windy conditions, snow or heavy rain.
DON’T allow water to build up on the fabric, this will strain the arms and cause the fabric to sag.
DON’T allow a wet awning cover to dry in the cassette case. When the rain stops, extend your awning and allow it to dry in the open air. (Unless it is still very windy!)
DON’T light a barbeque under your awning.

ELECTRIC OPERATION
DON’T over use the motor. A built in thermal cut out will prevent over use to protect the motor from over heating.
DON’T disconnect a sun or wind sensor. Your awning will automatically retract after about one hour if sensors are not working and you will not be able to extend it again.
